About us

Welcome to the dynamic realm of the SJBHS Music Department, where the rhythm never rests! We proudly present CADENCE, the symphony of our souls, an Inter-School National Music Fest that sets the stage on fire and ignites hearts.

But this isn’t just a competition, dear friends. It’s a celebration where students discover their musical home and join a sacred brotherhood of harmonious voices. Here, we weave a tapestry of unity, transforming music teachers into family, allies in our melodious journey rather than mere rivals.

Guiding the symphony of CADENCE, along with our supportive management, is the maestro himself, Mr Mario Dunn, our school’s Music Coordinator. He believes CADENCE isn’t confined to us; it resonates within every student and teacher, creating a chorus of belonging that reverberates through our souls.

Last year, the halls resonated with the laughter and applause of over 48 schools and 1500 students, an orchestra of talent and passion. This year, we aim even higher, reaching for the stars with our soaring melodies and electrifying performances.

Schools that engage in 12 or more events will be offered a registration fee of ₹9,000 for the entirety of the event, recognising their commitment to active participation.

  • All participants and audience are expected to maintain respectful behaviour throughout the fest.
  • Judges will remain impartial throughout the fest.
  • Any participant found in violation of the rules or engaging in unsportsmanlike behaviour may be disqualified from the fest.
  • Participants are required to be present at their respective performance venues. Details will be announced at the opening ceremony.
  • The winners results will be shared with participants and the audience on the last day during the closing ceremony.
  • Decisions of the judge and event organizers are final and binding.
  • Participants must provide their music tracks in an empty pendrive just before their performance. Music tracks submitted via email or any online platform will not be accepted. Playing a track from a mobile is not allowed.
  • Each participant is permitted to participate in a maximum of two events. Participants found to be engaged in more than two events will face disqualification from all events, and all prizes awarded will be revoked.
  • All participants are required to carry and visibly display their school ID cards at all times within the campus.
  • School uniforms are advised for the event.
  • Schools are requested to be present in St Joseph’s Boys’ High School by 8:00 AM on both the days of the event to avoid any delays.
