Dynamix is an official dance fest hosted by St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, designed to celebrate rhythm, energy and creativity. It is not just any other dance fest but rather a high energy fusion of talents, sportsmanship, team spirit and passion. It is an exhilarating event that reveals dancers' hidden talents, offering them invaluable exposure, excitement, and an unforgettable experience. This fest is organised by a professional dancer and the one who transformed CADENCE (an inter-school music fest) into a prestigious National Music Fest in India. It’s a fest where passion comes alive with electrifying performances, and an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm. Dynamix promises to be an unforgettable celebration of movement and expression!

Common Rules

  • All participants and audience are expected to maintain respectful behaviour throughout the fest.
  • Any participant found in violation of the rules or engaging in unsportsmanlike behaviour will be disqualified.
  • Participants are required to be present at their respective performance venues. Details will be announced at the opening ceremony.
  • The results of the winners will be shared with participants and the audience only during the closing ceremony.
  • Decisions of the judges and event organisers are final and binding.
  • All lyrics, gestures, and stage behaviour must be appropriate for a school/family audience. Vulgarity or disrespect will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Participants must provide their tracks in an empty pendrive just before their performance. Tracks submitted via email or any online platform will not be accepted, playing a track from a mobile is not allowed.
  • Each participant is permitted to participate in only one event (either solo or group). Participants found to be engaged in more than one event will face disqualification from all events, and all prizes awarded will be revoked.
  • All participants are required to CARRY and visibly display their SCHOOL ID cards at all times within the CAMPUS.
  • Judges will award points primarily based on choreography, followed by costumes. Costume evaluation will be based on how well they align with the theme of the song.
  • Participants are requested to be present at St Joseph’s Boys’ High School by 8:00 am on the day of the event to avoid any delays.
  • Strictly NO INTERMIXING OF STYLES

Costume Guidelines for Participants
All participants are required to dress modestly and appropriately, keeping in mind the dignity of the event and the values upheld by the school. Costumes must not be revealing or offensive in any way. The primary goal is to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional atmosphere.
The following types of costumes are strictly not allowed:

1. Revealing Attire:
Crop tops or tops that expose the midriff
Low-cut necklines
Backless or strapless dresses

2. Short or Inappropriate Bottoms:
Skirts, shorts, or dresses above the knee
Extremely tight trousers or leggings worn as outerwear

3.Transparent or Sheer Clothing:
See-through fabrics without proper lining
Mesh or lace garments that expose inner wear or skin

4. Offensive or Inappropriate Prints:
Costumes displaying inappropriate language, slogans, or symbols
Any outfit suggesting violence, hate, or discrimination

5. Culturally or Religiously Insensitive Costumes:
Outfits that mimic or stereotype a culture, religion, or community
Items that could hurt religious or social sentiments

6. Miscellaneous Restrictions:
Overly flashy or distracting costumes
Excessive use of makeup or props that take away from the performance’s dignity
If you are unsure about your costume, it is mandatory to consult the teacher coordinators well in advance. The decision of the management regarding costume appropriateness will be final and binding.

SOLO Category (Rules)

  • Each school may send a maximum of 2 participants per category.
  • Time limit: 2 minutes.
  • Exceeding the time limit will result in negative marking.
  • Fusion or mixing of dance styles is strictly prohibited.
  • Judging will be based on choreography and overall performance.
  • Costume design and presentation will also be taken into consideration.

GROUP Category (Rules)

  • One group per school (4-8 members per category).
  • Time limit: 3 minutes +30 seconds for setup.
  • Exceeding the time limit will result in negative marking.
  • Fusion or mixing of dance styles is strictly prohibited.
  • Judging will be based on choreography and co-ordination.
  • Costume design and presentation will also be taken into consideration.
  • All participants must submit a brief write-up explaining the theme of their dance to the MC prior to their performance.
