SJBHS Bangalore Batch of 1977 Social Responsibility Project
The St Joseph’s Boys’ High School Batch of 1977 (“the 77ers”) marked two years of their partnership with St Joseph School, Pandithahalli, in advancing holistic education. Beginning with the establishment of a library to strengthen communication and reading skills, the initiative expanded to include sports programmes, martial arts training, and an annual sports day inspired by SJBHS traditions. Academic excellence was further enhanced through the creation of the Peter Pinto Science Lab and the Loyola Technology Center, providing hands-on STEM learning and access to modern technology. Rooted in Jesuit values, the partnership aims to inspire future alumni to uplift students in underserved communities. Click here to read more

In 2020, Mr. Thomas Thekkethala (SJBHS 1977), Founder of Learn for Life, envisioned a dedicated STEM center at St Joseph’s Boys’ High School. In collaboration with BJES leadership, the OBA, JAANA advisors, and JTF leadership, this vision led to the establishment of the Loyola Technology Center. With Ms. Asha Sundararajan and Dr. Ajit Paranjpe guiding strategic planning and program development, the center’s design was completed in early 2022, and its first STEM programs were launched in July 2022.
