OUR POLICY

Rules to follow during the conference

  • No vulgarity of any kind will be tolerated at any stage of the conference.
  • No abusive language against and/or slurs on other delegates, logistic members, organizers, teachers, and executive board members will be tolerated.
  • Racial, religious, and /or sexual comments will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Messaging fellow delegates, logistic members, teachers, Executive board members, or any person present unnecessarily will result in a warning (first offense) followed by disqualification (if deemed fit) for subsequent offenses.
  • Cyberbullying of ANY kind, on social media (Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) or via Phone call will result in immediate action on the part of the organizers. The cyber security department shall be contacted in case of any serious violations.
  • In the process of bloc formation and/or voting for resolutions, delegates found exercising undue influence on other delegates by virtue of power/experience shall be immediately disqualified.

Committee Rules

  • Delegates must report to the campus between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
  • Any participant failing to reach on time will be required to explain the same to the EB members.
  • Delegates are requested to follow the anti-harassment policy at all times within the campus and in all interactions with anyone involved at SJBHSMUN
  • No vulgarity or inappropriate language/gestures will be tolerated.
  • The delegates are required to wear the ID cards given to them on Day 1 of the conference, always on campus. Failure to do so will result in demarking.
  • We expect the active cooperation of everyone to make SJBHSMUN a memorable experience.
  • The decision of the Executive Board Members is final.
  • There must be AT LEAST 1 executive board member on each of the WhatsApp groups of respective bloc groups.

Rules with Regard to Registrations

Guidelines for Registrations:
  • The registration fee is to be paid while making the registration.
    A Razor pay system has been made available through the registration link itself.
    Allotments will be made only after payment has been made.
  • No refunds will be provided.
  • SJBHSMUN is open to students from class 7 to students pursuing their first year in their respective undergraduate courses.
    The participant must be no more than 19 years of age as of 01/06/2025. [DoB on or after 01/06/06].
    Violation of this rule will result in disqualification from the conference.
  • Institutional delegations must register at least 8 members to qualify for delegation awards. (OPEC — Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries — is a double delegation committee. KLA — Karnataka Legislative Assembly — is not compulsory for qualification for a delegation award.)
  • Registrations shall be made on a first come-first serve basis.
    Allotments, however, shall be given due consideration based on preference and experience.
  • Kindly ensure that the phone number submitted at the time of registration is a WhatsApp number.
  • Early Bird registrations close on 3rd October 2025.
  • A valid ID proof (school ID, Aadhar Cards, etc.) must be uploaded at the time of registration. The photo must be clear and visible.

General Rules and Regulations

  • SJBHSMUN is open to students from class 7 to students pursuing their first year in their respective undergraduate courses.
  • The dress code is Western formals. Indian formals are allowed for the Lok Sabha. No skirts or dresses are allowed for girls.
  • No school uniforms or emblems can be shown during the conference.


Anti-Harassment Policy

  • At SJBHS, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment of any kind. Keeping in mind the complications that may arise from such behaviour, the following guidelines must be strictly adhered to. Failure to comply will result in the delegate’s removal from the committee and disqualification from the MUN. The delegation may also face consequences if more than one of its members engages in the prohibited activities mentioned below.
  • Depending on the severity of the offence, the matter may be reported to the Principal or the Teacher Coordinator of the respective school or college from which the participant hails. No refund will be issued to the delegate in such cases.

Reporting Misconduct

If a delegate or delegation experiences any of the violations listed under the Rules to Follow During the Conference (points 1–6) or any other inappropriate behaviour, the following steps should be followed to report the matter:

  • Provide suitable proof to substantiate the complaint.
  • The complaint must be made through the teacher responsible for that particular participant or delegation.
  • You may also contact any of the teachers listed on the Contact page with the required proof.
