Farewell to Stds 10&12
Assemblies serve as a crucial break from routine and offer a platform for students to express themselves in an, educational, yet, entertaining way, fostering, both personal growth and team spirit. What better way to bid farewell than expressing their gratitude through song, dance and words.
The Assembly commenced with the hoisting of the school flag, the singing of the school anthem and the reciting of the Preamble. As with all events at SJBHS, the prayer and prayer song were meaningful and sombre.
The Principal, Fr Norwin Pereira SJ, in his message, advised the Josephites to continue to shape themselves in character, faith, responsibility and strength to choose only the right path. Father asked them to give of their best, remain calm whatever the situation, and to move forward on the path of success, blessing and joy of life!
The graduating students of Classes 10 &12 had walked the portals of the school as wide-eyed kids and now they were young, confident adults poised to step into the wider world, unknown yet exciting. The sense of transition was felt in the songs they presented, the moves of their dances and the speeches in English and Kannada. The acoustics from the band were truly noteworthy, especially considering that they had never played together!
The Special Assembly will always have a distinctive place in the hearts and minds of these students as they had put forth their very best to thank their Juniors, their mentors and the Admin and Support Staff of SJBHS. It was with full assurance that they were aware of the fact that once a Josephite, they would always be Josephites!
