Grand Farewell

Felicitation of Retiring Staff

“Often when you think you are at the end of something, You are at the beginning of something else!” Fred Rogers
Retirement for the four stalwarts of St Joseph's Boys’ High School seemed exactly like that - the beginning of rest, reminiscence and rejuvenation!

Having attained superannuation during the academic year 2025-26 following a fruitful, dedicated and faithful service to the institution, Ms Jayashree Prince Jacob teaching ISC English, Mr Syed Mahaboob Pasha, school cricket coach and staff of the Physical Education Department; Ms Lisamma Joseph, Chemistry teacher for Classes 7,8 and 9; and Ms Gloria Santiago teaching Mathematics in the Middle School, were felicitated on April 10, 2026.

Adulation, respect and gratitude from thousands of students and many colleagues and the Management. They have rendered yeomen service to SJBHS.

The staff of SJBHS, in a grand farewell, spoke about the retirees in glowing terms. The retiring staff, in their replies, thanked the Management, Principals and Vice Principals through the years; spoke about their most cherished memories at school; and their life in the portals of SJBHS! The Management then presented the retired staff with mementoes and gifts, symbolising gratitude for their service, blessings for a healthy life after superannuation, and validation of their selfless service to the growth and glory of the school!
