INTER - FAITH PRAYER SERVICE

A Garland of Faiths
Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.
Martin Luther

The academic year at St Joseph’s Boys’ High School concluded with an Inter-Faith Prayer Service held on February, 18, 2026 the Management, Staff and students gathered in prayer, in thanksgiving and in gratitude to the Almighty for the wonderful year gone by. The audience, the auditorium and the atmosphere were in the realm of gratitude, devotion and introspection.

The blessings showered on the school, the safety and security of the community and the good health of the stakeholders is a gift for any institution. The audience joined together, in praise and worship, to thank God for His mercy, love and grace. The verses from the holy texts, The Bible, The Quran, The Bhagwat Gita, The Guru Granth Sahib and the Buddhist and Jain writings, as well as the reflections, echoed these very sentiments. The bhajans, in Kannada and Hindi, and the hymns in English were like flowers spun into a garland of faith.

As the prayer service progressed, it was made clear to the gathering that all religions spoke of peace, truth, kindness, non-violence, justice and mindful living. The young Josephites understood the values of purpose, dignity and acts of charity, that would hold them in good stead in this world of materialism and competition. The Primary School Administrator, Fr Paul Anand SJ, prayed for and with the students for their light to shine forth as sparks of peace, truth and compassion. Father prayed that the students may count their blessings and thank God for all their fortunes. The prayers, intentions and supplications, in the sanctity and peace of the auditorium and the hearts and minds of the students, threw light on the secularism practiced at SJBHS, the good will of the community, and for the myriad blessings and multifold graces bestowed during the academic year 2025-2026.
