JOSEPHITE RUN

Big Strides for Education
‘Strong Today, Stronger Tomorrow’, says the slogan that promotes fitness of body, mind and soul. The Josephite Run, held on 18th January 2026, entered its third edition. Students, big and small, parents and grandparents as well as alumni and well-wishers took the challenge of 3K, 5K and 10K timed and untimed, to prove that they believed in the selfless cause of educating the marginalized in society while at the same time promising to grow strong today and stronger tomorrow.

The 10K timed Run had its fair share of entries with people of all ages competed for the prestigious awards in their age category. This bracket found people who were physically fit and rearing to go at 6 a.m. on a cold January morning. The 5K Run, on the other hand, catered to those who loved the outdoors but found the 10K a bit overwhelming and better left for the next year, as they practice and improve their fitness levels. However, the Fun Run of 3K belonged to the Little Josephites, most of their teachers and the happy-go-lucky runners for whom the clock did not matter, the rules were meant to be broken, running or walking was an option, and the only challenge was to get to the finish to pose with their medals of achievement!

Days and months of preparation had borne fruit as the Run went off seamlessly. The Management of SJBHS, the PTA and the OBA worked, behind the scenes, tirelessly and patiently to bring to Bengaluru another well choreographed event! The stage resounded with music keeping beat to the warm-up exercises; students dressed as cartoon figures, butterflies and bees out did themselves in adding colour to the ambience; while the tents and photo booths set up around the grounds lent themselves to the organized chaos of the morning!

Josephite Run 3.0 was sponsored by UNEXT and co-sponsored by ARATT BUILDERS and AYATANA RESORTS. With something for each of the participants, this sports event, starting so early on 18th January morning and ending with satisfied runners, healthy students and active parents.
