Mass of the Holy Spirit for Seniors

13th June, 2025

Journeying Together with Hope

‘Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.’ -St. Augustine

On the 13 th of June 2025, the Senior Josephites gathered in the SJBHS Chapel in faith, hope and prayer. Their theme for the Holy Eucharist was ‘Journeying Together with Hope’ and that spoke volumes of the need from the Almighty for guidance, clarity, and blessings on the new academic year.

The main celebrant Fr Arvind Royce SJ was joined by Fr Daniel Fernandes SJ, Rector of BJES institutions; Fr Michael John SJ, former Principal of SJBHS; Fr Norwin Pereira SJ, Principal of SJBHS; Fr Paul Anand SJ, Primary School Administrator; and Fr Robert Christi SJ, making the Eucharistic celebration a solemn, sincere, and serene offering of thanksgiving, praise, and worship.

Fr Arvind, in his sermon, gave the boys the acronym to remember – PUSH, to denote Pray Until Something Happens/ Persevere Until Something Happens. Father dwelled on four aspects for the new academic year – love, prayer, perseverance, and focus.

The solemn Eucharist gave the students and staff the assurance that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, endowed on all who believed, would always be their guidance. It was indeed the best way to begin the academic year at SJBHS.
